WHAT IS FAMILY PD?

Family Personal Development (PD) is a personal development initiative that promotes the improvement of five focus areas (health, relationships, education, finances, and setting goals) across the household using four guiding principles (community, systems, policies, self-awareness) and other best practices.

Much of what you will learn are strategies that are commonly used in organizations (i.e. schools, businesses, etc.). Treating your household as an organization requires you to look at your family members as members of the organization not just members of the family.

What does it mean to have a family organization?  It means your children are not just children, you are not just a parent or guardian. You are all teammates; colleagues. You will find value in applying the same level of respect and courtesy to your family members as you do to those you interact with in a professional environment.
